We consider many factors when reviewing grants. One key determinant of funding is alignment with our mission. Thus, programs aimed at (1) heading off chronic conditions through early screening, proper nutrition, and healthful lifestyle choices will be given preference, as well as those (2) thwarting academic failure through early enhancement of cognitive, linguistic, and psychological development.

Description

The PiK Foundation was created in 2016 by a family with a passion for preventing chronic illness and academic difficulty. Our hearts go out to those who suffer from poor health and school failure, and we believe that prevention is key! The good news is that emerging research shows a large percentage of chronic conditions are preventable through early screening, proper nutrition, and healthful lifestyle choices. Too many cases of academic failure can be prevented through early efforts aimed at enhancing cognitive, linguistic, and psychological development. Thus, PiK funds and promotes prevention efforts in HEALTH, NUTRITION, and EDUCATION in hopes that more individuals and families may thrive and enjoy the long-lasting fruits of preventive actions.
