Description

We seek to close the racial equity gap so all children, families and communities can be more confident, healthier and secure in their trust of the systems and institutions that serve them. We seek ideas from anywhere in the world and will scale them over the next decade to transform the systems and institutions that uphold inequity. Solutions may tackle the social, economic, political or institutional inequities we see today. Teams of visionaries, change agents and community leaders from every sector are invited to join. Up to 10 finalists will each receive a one-year $1 million planning grant and nine months of capacity-building support to further develop their project and strengthen their applications. This is a multi-phase challenge culminating in at least three Awardees receiving grants of $20 million each, and at least two Awardees receiving grants of $10 million each. These awards will be paid out over nine years to coincide with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s 100th anniversary.
