Limiting Exposure to Hazardous Pesticides for California Students
California health officials have analyzed the use of pesticides near schools, raising concerns about hazardous exposure to children in places of learning and play. Harmful agricultural pesticides are used in large quantities and in proximity to students and have been linked to learning disabilities and cancers. Latino students are more likely to attend schools in regions with the heaviest use.
