Poor Air Quality and COVID-19 Mortality Risks
Recent studies from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health stated that the majority of pre-existing conditions that increase mortality risks for COVID-19 are the same diseases that are affected by long-term exposure to air pollution. Social determinants of health show that people of color are disproportionately exposed to pollution and have been the worst hit by the virus.
