Help the US Government to Solve Big Problems
U.S. government agencies constantly work to address issues that affect people, communities, and industries throughout the country and even the world. Sometimes, they need help. Since 2010, the U.S. government has run nearly 1,000 challenges in more than 100 federal agencies, and with solvers spanning the gamut between students and hobbyists to small business owners and academic researchers. The government faces many challenges and tasks to solve the multitude of issues uprising in our country. There needs to be a way for them to hear ideas/solutions from the people, that won't take a long and tedious voting process. Change is hard and often times difficult to implement, but once it is, a solution can arise.
challenge.gov is an online platform listing the challenges run by 65 branches of the US federal government, dealing with issues such as data management, data visualization, research practice and business solutions. Participants can elect to enter challenges and receive prize money for their ideas and solutions.
