Virtually experience the dangers of distracted driving
The first year after a teen gets their driving license is one of the most dangerous years of their life. In 2017, 2,364 teens in the United States aged 16-19 were killed, and about 300,000 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes.1 That means six teens aged 16-19 died every day due to motor vehicle crashes, and hundreds more were injured.

Using virtual reality tech to demonstrate to teens how simple distractions lead to bad driving could help save the the thousands of lives lost from distracted and new drivers. Changing the radio, phones, food or beverages, passengers, and more can all be distracting, but training drivers how to focus on the road in the face of these distractions is the goal.
