Nature and Context help
There are many ideas for reducing poverty. While economic growth has disproportionately benefited high income groups it has left low-income households behind. Ways to raise the poverty line include increasing employment - especially among minorities, raising the federal minimum wage, make family and medical leave mandatory, invest in high quality early education and childcare, tackle segregation and concentrated poverty, and eliminate the poverty tax.
