Improving the Immigration Database
The SF Bay Area collaborative of three organizations includes KCCEB, International Rescue Committee and East Bay Sanctuary serving approximately 1,000 to 2,000 individuals per year. Through a survey of the New Americans Campaign, they learned that there was no existing technology solution to track individuals after they came in contact with the NAC partner agency in order to provide longitudinal support, track progress and ensure completion of outcomes including US citizenship.
These organizations provide other services beyond helping with green card applications including community leadership, advocacy, and direct services in the areas of immigration/citizenship, social services, domestic violence and sexual assault, youth leadership development, and faith-based community building.
The New Americans Campaign comprises 26 metro areas throughout the US with approximately 300 organizations. Each metro area is a collaborative of nonprofit and government partners.
The vision is that each one would have around 2-3 administrators of an easy-to-use communication portal to collectively serve over 300,000 individuals per year.
