By implementing recycling, up-cycling and green cleaning techniques, tribes can transition away from throw away culture and use everything, reducing the need for landfills and improving the local impact on tribal land.

Tribal solid waste management programs are needed to better advise our nations tribes on how to sustainably dispose, taking a smaller environmental toll on their lands. While efforts are being made to reduce large waste in the Inland Northwest, modern techniques and green resources are needed to spread this idea to tribal land across the nation.
