Being able to track what is made or sourced locally could encourage shopping locally which is one of the easiest ways to encourage sustainability in communities.
Provenance, is a network for open and accessible information about products and supply chains. Producers can upload their location, materials they use, and tell the story of why they make their products as they do. Consumers are then able to explore a map of producers and products, following connections between them as they browse.
