Using technology to transform English language teaching
The economic advantage of having English as a second language can be huge. Yet accessing high-quality resources to learn English can be prohibitively expensive for many people around the world. Equally, reaching dispersed groups of students is extremely costly using traditional face-to-face teaching and classes.

Nature and Context help
Social media and social networking could help teach a second language to those wanting to learn. Connecting people to content – interactive stories, games and quizzes – and to other learners builds a network of immersion, which is proven to help people learn language at a faster rate. Online lessons where people can both listen to and watch classes, as well as play games to learn grammar, and practice exams can also help. Specific courses could also be designed for those people learning English for work and academic study.
