Comparing the Wellbeing of Different Countries
Social Software The OECD Better Life Index is an interactive map which allows users to compare the relative 'wellbeing' of various countries by ranking them. This is based on 12 'soft' factors of good-quality life, ranging from community engagement to work-life balance. The website allows users to adjust the various factors and view the results on an interactive chart, as well as providing further information regarding the economic factors driving quality of life.
The Better Life Index is designed to let you visualize and compare some of the key factors – like education, housing, environment, and so on – that contribute to well-being in OECD countries. It’s an interactive tool that allows you to see how countries perform according to the importance you give to each of 11 topics that make for a better life.
